Our Client
The Virgin Strive Challenge is a series of epic mass participation endurance events which raise money for Big Change Charity.
Taking part over a 5 week period, the event started south of Sardinia and a core team of high-profile participants ran, cycled, swam, sailed and climbed, from the start location, through Corsica, into mainland Europe, to the summit of Mont Blanc. Joining them at each stage were additional participants.

The Challenge
Our Emergency Planning Consultancy team were tasked with developing a medical plan to meet the requirements of various stakeholders and ensure that medical and physical therapy could be safely delivered across the 5 week period, scaling up and down in line with participant numbers at each stage. It also required more intensive support to those core participants completing the entire event.
Our Solution
We developed a medical plan for the event which considered the varying participant numbers at each stage, the various environments and climates, as well as the high-profile nature of the participants.
This included various table-top exercises to test the plan, coordination of resources, oversight and debriefing.
